Enjoy Malaga even after the Feria! 5 hand-picked activities recommended by a local guide [2025]

Hola! Hello everyone!
Did you thoroughly enjoy the Malaga Feria?
But the charm of Malaga doesn't end with the feria. Since you've come all this way, I want you to fully enjoy the time after the feria as well!

Today, I'll be sharing some activities I recommend experiencing after the Feria, based on my own experience living in Malaga. These are all things I've personally tried, so please use them as a reference!

A must-see for anyone attending the Malaga Feria! Here's a summary of ways to enjoy Malaga outside of the Feria [2025]

■ Malaga: Catamaran Sailing Trip with Sunset Option

When you think of Spain in the summer, you think of...
I actually participated in this catamaran sailing trip from the port of Muelle Uno, and it's a truly special experience.

In Spain during the summer, the sun doesn't set until after 9 PM. Wouldn't it be wonderful to spend that long twilight hour on the sea with a drink in hand?

While the cruises with many young people can have a slightly club-like atmosphere, couples, married couples, and friends can all enjoy themselves. The sea breeze is refreshing, and the view of Malaga from the sea is exceptional.

■ Málaga: Alcazaba and Roman Theater Guided Tour With Entry

The quintessential Malaga sightseeingSpeaking of which,Alcazaba
Even if you live in Malaga, this is a place you absolutely must visit.

Individuals can also enter, but what I would recommend isGuided tourThe guide will explain the history and hidden spots in detail, so you can hear lots of interesting stories that you wouldn't learn just by walking around.

TIP! Admission is free from Sunday afternoon onwards (usually from around 2:00 PM), so if you want to save money, aiming for that time slot is a good idea. However, it can get a bit crowded on free days because there are many locals there.

■ Malaga: Teatro Flamenco Malaga Live Flamenco Show

During the Feria, you see flamenco everywhere in town, but honestly, watching it in the intense midday sun is tough...
For people like that, we recommendTeatro Flamenco MalagaThis is a show.

You can enjoy the passion of Spain at your leisure in a cool theater. I went myself, and the dancers' energy was incredible! It's really comfortable to be able to sit and watch (laughs).

■ Nerja: Guided Kayak Tour Nerja Cliffs and Maro Waterfall

Summer in Malaga is reallyhotis.
I used to live on Miyako Island in Okinawa, but I feel the sunlight might be stronger in Malaga.

Amidst all this, I suddenly feel an overwhelming urge to jump into the sea...
Therefore, I would like to recommend going a little further afield.Kayak tours in NerjaYes, you can get there by bus, and the sea in Nerja is incredibly clear, truly a breathtaking sight. Seeing Malo Falls from the sea is an unforgettable experience!

■ Malaga: Hammam Al Ándalus Entry Ticket with Massage

For those of you who danced too much at Feria!
Andalusian-style HamamThis is an experience you should definitely try if you come to Spain. Spending time in an exotic setting, switching between hot and cold water, will reset both your mind and body.

It's completely different from Japanese bathing culture, but it's sure to instantly melt away the fatigue of your overseas trip.
